Getting To Know Karen
Karen has been at Best Friends since April 1996. She has had the opportunity to master many skills while working here. She is well trained in patient care, surgical assistance, and client relations. She is attending UAFS with plans to further her education in the animal care field. Karen has 2 dogs, Buddy and Frankie, a guinea pig named Lola and a goldfish named Howard . She also has an Amazon parrot named Petie who loves to entertain the clients in the lobby at Best Friends. Petie loves to call the hogs and he likes to tell the clients "bye bye, I love you" as they leave the clinic. Karen loves camping and being in the great outdoors. She is looking forward to her upcoming trip to New Zealand with her boyfriend Adam.

Getting To Know Laci
Laci has been working at Best Friends since 2002. She works well with the clients, and their pets. She is trained as a surgical assistant, receptionist, and bookkeeper. She has attended the North American Veterinary Conference the past 4 years. She is well trained in diseases and medicine of the older cats and dogs. She can answer most any question you may have concerning preventive care for your pet. Laci has 4 dogs, Randy, Aaden, Tia, and Seymour. She also has 5 cats, Owen, Bob, Princess Stella, Oliver and Baby Bob. She is married and has two daughters. Laci enjoys spending time with her family and camping.
Getting To Know Courtney
Courtney joined the Best Friends family as our receptionist in September 2009. She is an Arkansas native. She is an animal lover to the core. Her pets include 2 Labrador Retrievers, 1 schnoodle, 2 fiddler crabs, and 10 fancy tail goldfish. Her interests are camping, hiking, dancing, and riding motorcycles. She is a member of Christian Motor Cycle Association and Project Compassion Pet Therapy Program.
Getting To Know Jennifer
Jennifer is an animal lover through and through. She has a rehabilitation license for deer and small mammals through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Jennifer lives in Ft. Smith with her two cats and squirrel, but her extended family at her mother’s home in Ozark includes numerous dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and a squirrel.
Photography is one of Jennifer’s many hobbies. She especially enjoys wildlife photography with birds of prey being her main pass time, but her all time favorite is the alligators of Southern Arkansas. Jennifer says she is really proud to be a part of the Best Friends family.
Getting To Know Emmaline
Emmaline's cousin, Dr. Preston, teaches her about the vet world with the help of the staff. She enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family. She also enjoys playing softball, basketball, and soccer. She cheers for the Razorbacks . She is a fanatic of peace signs. She plans on attending OSU when she is older. She has had experience with animals and worked with the Southwest Service Dogs the entire summer of 2008. She has 2 dogs, Nashville and Ring. Nashville is a Brittany Spaniel and Ring is a Griffin Wired Hair Pointer. She also has a cat named Miley. She has 12 shrimp and 5 gold fish.
Emmaline plans to work at the clinic as one of the vet assistants standing beside Dr. Preston.
